By having a department head meeting every morning with Administration and the department heads this may have been prevented.
ReplyDeleteIn our building, we all get together and discuss all changes in residents conditions and steps we are taking to make sure that are policies are followed. Having the entire team know what is happening with the resident can help them observe and monitor the resident for changes.
At these meetings our Administrator would question whether things in the policy are being carried out. She may have found out that the DON didn't know the policy for neuro checks to be done.
